This Arnold Family site is powered by the latest version of PhpGedView v4.2.SVN, a free open-source program. This page provides an introduction and overview to our ancestral history. To begin working with the data, select one of this site''s favorites (below or from the header), choose one of the charts from the charts menu, go to the individual or family list feature, or search for a name or place using the search function at the top right. Also, a browser hint: PGV works best with the most current browser versions as it has extensive use of Java and Ajax. We highly recommend you use the free Firefox 3+ or Safari browsers rather than versions of Internet Explorer (IE).
Thank you for visiting our extended family history sites, MyArnolds.com and MyMoberlys.com. We look forward to sharing our families with all of you - our ''cousins''.

Whew. And I thought I was full of hot air
13 June 2009 - 10:16:46pm
On Friday, 12 JUN 2009 at approximately 5pm, the greater Memphis area experienced a waves of severe thunderstorms, winds in excess of 70 mph, and two tornadoes. While it blew through the area quite quickly and most had dissipated by 7pm, nearly one-half of the city lost power. Ours was off in excess of 14 hours and at the office, over 24 hours, leading to an internet outage of our sites. Fortunately, there was no loss of life and, although over 75,000 households still have no power, we do, as does work. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

New Server Installed
13 June 2009 - 10:14:15pm
We've finished the upgrade to our new server, an Octo-core 3.2 gHz Mac Pro with 18gb of RAM and a 3 -drive mirror RAID + one backup drive array for data speed and security. You should find it pretty peppy compared to our older machine. This will also become our e-commerce server as soon as we've rewritten our software to run on this Apache2, php5, mySQL5 configuration.
Let us know if you experience any hickups, but it should be a much better experience. We recommend the new Safari v4 or Firefox v3.0+ as out-performing browsers to IE 7 or 8 when viewing our phpGedView genealogy site. Thanks for your contributions of time, talent and research to improve the quality and quantity of data available on MyArnolds.com.
